1. We specalize in helping students make a career change or start a new carrer as an IT Support Specalist. Just one program, no distractions, and students have our full dedication in helping them succeed.

Unlike other schools which offer hundreds of courses and train thousands of students every year almost like an assembly line. We offer a single Career Change / Career Enhancement program designed to help our students become excellent IT professionals. We only train a limited number of students every year. Our complete attention is dedicated to each student to help them make a succesful transition into the IT field.

2. While other schools try to "simulate" the real world and provide training around a simulated environment. We train our students in the real world.

Unlike other schools who train their students for the IT support field in an office building by simulating the “real world”. Our students work in a live computer repair center. Our students get to work with wide range of hardware and software platforms that cannot be found in any "simulated" classroom. Students work on real computer problems, deal with real customers, and work with technologies that are not taught in any one particular certification track or book.

3. We only accept a maximum of 50 students per year. Our students work in part-time shifts working directly with real technicians. A typical shift will have a maximum of 5 students and one or two instructors in each shift. It's as close as you can get to personalized 1 on 1 style training designed to help you succeed.

Unlike other schools who train thousands of students every year and make record profits. We are in the training business to help individuals succeed and find employment. We want to get to know each student and work with them one on one to help them succeed. Our goal is not to become the biggest training school with maximum profits. 4. Our students graduate with 6 months of real world experience as soon as they complete our program.

 

Unlike other schools which recommend paid or non-paid internships for their students, after completing their program, to gain real world experience. We train our students in the real world! While graduates from other schools can find it difficult to get their foot in the door after completing their education, when you attend CCTC you already have your foot in the door from the very first day of your training. Our student’s don’t have to worry about finding internships to gain “real world” experience because they are being trained in the real world.

5. Colleges and Universities have sent their students to us for "internships" to gain "real world experience".

 

Unlike graduates from other schools that have to find internships to gain real world experience after completing their training. When you attend CCTC you are already a step ahead of other graduates or your competition. 6. Our students are aware of the job market and what kind of job they will qualify for from day one. We set realistic expectations for our students and talk about what will happen after graduation before they enroll in our program.

Unlike other schools which may fail to tell their students that after completing their program you may have to first get a non-paid internship or volunteer to gain real world experience, this could be for months before they may or may not find employment. They may fail to tell you that the certification you prepared for and passed is intended for an experienced IT professional and you will not qualify for a job in that role without experience. They may fail to tell you that the time you spent learning high end technologies is a waste because you will not be able to apply what you learned in your entry level job. They may fail to tell you that you have to start from bottom up and which sometimes means at minimum wage. They may fail to tell you that experience is king in the IT field and not certifications. At CCTC we are up front and set real expectations for our students. Everyone has to start from ground up and work their way up but there are smart ways of doing it. We provide guidance and training for our students which will benefit them the most in the short and long term. Our students are trained to work on technologies that they will apply and use in their first job. We do not provide training for technologies that the student can and will only use after two or three years of real world experience. If you don’t use it you lose it and chances are in 2 to 3 years the platform you learned has already been replaced by a newer version!
